Pamela Hayes Classical Ballet School

Ballet School Policies

  • A downloadable version of the policies is available in our Downloadable Forms section to the right.

  • A registration fee is due at the time of initial enrollment and on August 1st of each successive year.  The registration fees are $30.00 for a Single Student Enrollment and $50.00 for a Family Enrollment.

  • Enrollment is for one full enrollment year, August through July. Tuition is paid monthly and is due by the 15th of each month.  Tuition is charged as a flat fee per month based on the class(es) that the student is enrolled in.  The monthly tuition amount will not be adjusted or pro-rated due to a mid-month start date; the number of weeks within a month; cancelled classes due to performances; studio holidays; or student vacations, illnesses, or other absences.  A late fee of $10 will be assessed if tuition is not received by the 15th of the month and each month thereafter.

  • To withdraw from the studio for one of more months, an official withdrawal notice must be submitted 15 days prior to the first day of class in any given month.  Withdrawal to the instructor is NOT sufficient.  In the event that an official withdrawal notice is not received, you will continue to be billed at your monthly tuition rate until the withdrawal form is received.  Withdrawal notices may be found on our web-site.  Upon re-enrollment, registration fees are due, even if the registration fee has already been paid for that enrollment year.

  • Returned checks will be assessed a $25.00 returned check fee and personal checks will not longer be accepted.

  • Classes missed due to any reason may be made up within the month during other scheduled class times at your same level or the level before current level or with the instructor’s approval.

  • Students are required to wear a class-specific uniform and follow PHCB’s dress codes.  Students should cover their dance uniforms when coming and going from the studio.  To preserve our dance floors, street shoes are not allowed on the studio floors and dance shoes should not be worn outside the studio.

  • Class observation is allowed during the last week of the month beginning with Monday.

  • Out of respect for our neighboring businesses and student safety, students must remain inside the studio until a parent or guardian has arrived.

  • No food, candy, or drinks, other than water, are allowed anywhere in the studio.

  • PHCB takes every precaution to ensure student safety.  However, as dance is a physical activity, injuries may occur. PHCB instructors are not responsible for injuries occurring before, during or after class. Each student may decline to participate in any activity which they deem to be harmful and must inform the instructor of any physical limitations that may prevent full participation in class.

  • PHCB instructors are not responsible for loss or damage to personal property.

  • PHCB uses photographs and/or video images of its students for marketing, publicity and advertising purposes. PHCB is authorized for use of those images without pay or compensation.

PERFORMANCES

Parent Participation

All families participating in a performance are expected to volunteer and donate in some way.

Performance Fee

All students who choose to participate in a performance are expected to return a Performance Permission Form and pay a Performance Fee.

For students who choose not to perform

As most students are encouraged to and choose to participate in our performances, no classes will be held during the week of the performance to allow for extra studio and theater rehearsal time.

For those students who choose not to participate in a performance, classes may be made up during the same month as the performance in a class at or below the current class level or with the instructor's approval.
